Simon FR (Nicolas) Retail #30

1860 | Mirecourt | 63.0g Violin Bow

Description

A fine silver and ebony mounted Violin Bow by Nicolas Simon (FR) of Mirecourt, France.

Round stick, made of dark chocolate-coloured pernambuco. We believe it to have come from the private collection of collector Count Antoine de La Rochefoucauld bearing the very eccentric stamp of De La Rochefoucauld across the stick and frog.

The bow is in good condition and a very strong example of the maker's work. Sold with a certificate from Jean-François Raffin.
